Getting everything you need around Guoqing:
There is a one stop place that you can get everything, and I mean everything you need. Right near Guoqing on your way to the metro is a store called General Merchandise (you can’t miss it!). It is a 3 story metropolis of anything and everything you will need; school supplies, bedding, laundry detergent, shampoo and conditioner, eating/cooking utensils, electronics, and the list goes on and on. The best thing too, it is all cheap here! Since they mass stock items, most of it will be at a discounted price compared to other stores around the area. To get there simply cross the street next to Guoqing, and the right side of that street you will see it after the second crosswalk.

Pharmacies:
The closest one to Guoqing is Watson’s, which is conveniently located right next to the MRT station. There is another one, 康是美, or “Cosmed”, which you will pass on your way to Watson’s. It is however, slightly smaller so you will have a little more selection at Watson’s. Both of these store are all over Taipei. Pharmacies are like Starbucks in NYC; they are around every corner. They are similar to any pharmacy in the US such as a CVS or Rite Aid. It’s also good to see what items they have on sale. Every once in awhile you might find a great deal on everyday items such as body wash and toilet paper.
